speed has more utility than just stealing bases.... some very fast guys suck at stealing and get thrown out a lot...and some mediocre speed guys have a good success rate...


speed on the base paths is always a plus, even when you steal zero bases...... speed in the field? well that's maybe where it is most valuable in reality, but least appreciated
