I give up on my Canucks. Luey is so weak mentally that is his main problem. He is playing terrible again tonight, I am pissed AV didn't put in Raycroft yet. Luongo is the reason I changed my avatar to this.

Luongo is mentally weak, he loses his focus way too easily (see Sharp goal tonight).
I honestly think goaltending is overrated in the NHL. Almost any goalie at the NHL level is capable of playing well. No need to spend more than 2-3 million on a goalie.

Ever since he became the captain he's been a let down. The highest paid player on any team should stand out on most nights, but he often stands out for the wrong reasons. His contract may be Mike Gillis' biggest mistake to date.

team has little confidence playing in front of him it looks like to me. I mean, they keep fighting back and not giving up but Luongo isn't making the big saves when they need him to.
Demoralizing if you are a canuck player.

I'm not sure why Luongo is the captain, but he is sinking the Canucks ship.

Luongo did not play well but I can see why he would be frustrated. Dan Sedins 2 penalties especially the cross-check was stupid. Burrows put them down 2 men for a bonehead play. So Luongo gave up 3pp goals? I am not defending him as he cost me $ but they should change the name to CaSucks because the whole squad has been terrible last 3.

So the Hawks put an end to the Canuck's dream tonite, though I think it will be a closer game than most do. Perhaps another 2-1 game like the Sharks and the Wings played last night. I think the Sharks-Hawks series, should it come down to that, is going to be a great one.

They should change their name to Team Sweden, as this franchise has had a long standing love affair with foreign players, and especially Swedes. Would you believe that the current Canucks have fewer Canadian players than any other team in the league? On the other hand the Chicago Blackhawks have piles of Canadian talent, and a lot of BC boys. Makes me laugh when the 'Nucks organization runs those "we are all Canucks" commericials...yeah, everyone but your hockey team... The 'Nucks need an identity and some leadership before they even dream of winning a Stanley Cup.

Too many europeans = no Cup for you.
Look at Washington. Detroit 2 years ago was only real exception I can think of. Pens last year, Ducks, Hurricanes, Lightning... all lots of Canadians.

Good points OTL and math. Being a Canucks fan I agree as we have too many soft guys with no grit and who are easy to get off their game. Wish the Canucks had the foundation of good gritty Canadians like the Hawks rather than the nice guy euros.

See how Lou can play when he has confidence and the team plays a solid game in front of him? He's still a world class goaltender.

I have to disagree Dennis, he wasn't tested at all tonight. The Hawks had no net presence and their forecheck was weak. Another non-performance for the home team.

You will be a believer after game 6 sir. He's tough to beat when you don't have fat gorillas standing in his face all game. But yeah Chicago looked flat tonight and Luey had a relatively easy night.

You are changing your avatar faster that Clark Kent changes in a phone booth.
Golf club logo avatar one day and now back to a die hard, blue bleeding Canuck fan. WTF? Do me a favor and follow Chastity Bono's lead, make up you mind and go with it.
Game 7 in Chicago looks like a probability rather than a possibility huh?
Go NUCKS!

LOL I am a hardcore fan don't worry. I am always on the bandwagon, the team is just frustrating as hell sometimes. They played so bad in games 3 and 4 and sometimes it's good to have low expectations. Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst is the best way to describe being a Canucks fan sometimes. The golf club logo was just an 8 Mile still self diss so that way you pretty much make fun of yourself before someone else has a chance to do it. Trust me buddy I am the biggest fan you'll ever meet. I live and die with this team. I smashed so many things in game 4.

Like Canuck fans aren't, ha ha.
Canuck fans always seem to think they have a Stanley Cup contender then whine, cry and make excuses when the team inevitably gets eliminated, same story this year, very predictable.
The Canucks are not Cup contenders, not even close. What the Canucks are is soft.
