"Bradley was removed from the game after a sixth inning strikeout. It was not a particularly good at-bat, with Bradley hacking away at some less-than-quality pitches early to get behind in the count, then, after battling back a bit, staring at a third strike down the middle.
But that's not why he got benched.
From what I'm told, Bradley came back to the dugout and told manager Don Wakamatsu something along the lines of "I'm done. I'm not helping the team.''
Those probably were not his exact words, but that was the message he conveyed.
Wakamatsu had Ryan Langerhans warm up immediately and followed Bradley into a tunnel between the dugout and clubhouse to talk him off the ledge and tell him not to quit on his teammates. At some point, Bradley was about to return to the dugout, but once he saw Langerhans playing left field in his place, left again and returned to his locker.
From there, he quickly packed and exited the stadium with the game still in progress."Comment -

#26He is a bit crazy. It's weird that a guy so talented who I am assuming has dedicated his life to his craft does things not to play and get crazy jack. If he just shut his trap and played ball this guy would be insanely loaded right now.Comment -

#33The guy has never been good. The waste of talent statements are a joke, as he has never been anything better than an average 3rd/4th outfielder. His only really good year (and not wow spectacular) was in 2008 when he hit 22hr, 77, rbi, 321 ave, 436 obp on 414 at bats.
The guy is a clown, but has been religiously overpaid every year. The simple fact is that he has been overpaid because he has made a name for himself through acting like a child and getting a lot of press. He has gotten alot of press for himself through silly actions, and made a lot of money from it. What incentive does he have to stop acting in this way? So people can recognize him for what he is, which is an average baseball player that is grossly overpaid. He has done the right thing for himself through all these childish actions, and has profited handsomely.Comment -
