    Willie Bee - Raccoon problem
    Hey Dad,

We now have a raccoon in our neighbourhood and it appears to be hanging around my house as well as my neighours house. I need to either get rid of it or do something to keep it off my property. What can you suggest to keep them away? As you know, I live in the city and not out in the country so having a raccoon in my neighbourhood, especially the part of the city we live in is very unusual.

I need to keep this frigger away from your grandsons so we need your advice.

BTW, your oldest grandson (by me) needs a new hockey stick so can you PayPal me $159.99 (CAN) so I can pick one up for him. Of course I'll tell him that Pappa bought it for him. Also, in 2 months time, your youngest grandson (by me) will need new skates for his summer hockey program that I enrolled him in. Can you try to save up $175 (CAN) so you can be part of the grandfatherly process of grooming the next star NHL'er?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

hanging around? is it getting into the garbage? just put some ammonia or vinegar on top or your garbage bags inside your outside cans......

are you in a canadian or Uk "neighbourhood"?

if it isn't after garbage, but just hanging out.... line the perimeter of your yard with some good ole piss, or human hair....

Son, I'm feeding three of the little critters myself right now. They greet me just about every morning around 5 when I get up and start the coffee. They can be destructive little bastards, but we've managed to keep them from tearing stuff up by securing garbage cans. And I have left little doubt in their minds that the back deck is NOT their patio dining spot. Rapped one on the noggin with my 'cedar equalizer' and I'm guessing it told the others not to fcuk with the old fat guy. They now wait patiently at the bottom of the steps for their morning scraps.

I'd suggest a live trap for yours. Do y'all have something akin to an 'animal control department' in your neck of the woods? If so, they might set you up with the trap then come fetch it to relocate.

      Give your mom my love

          In Canada

I have thick plastic garbage bins so they are not into my garbage.

1 was in my trees and on my neighbours deck.

I was actually wondering about the piss thing, but never heard about amonia/vinegar. I figured my Dad would know though.

The hair/piss/amonia/vinegar/etc type fixes are going to become regular chores to perform to keep them away. And if your neighbors aren't doing anything, then they will still be around regardless of what temp steps you take.

I've always felt that it was Queen Bee and I who moved into their neighborhood. Are y'all on the edge of undeveloped land? Not knowing the exact situation, something has caused this coon to find your little haven, either development into their old grounds or some lack of food/shelter for whatever reason. If you're on the edge of a forest/wooded area, then where there is one, there are 20. If it's a case of the little fella' being on his own and coming from more than a couple of miles into your neighborhood, then relocating it will likely work.

              Thanks Dad!!!

Unfortunately, we have to pay $350 for animal control to come out so I don't feel like paying $350 to take care of other neighbours problem. I know it's also my problem, but still.

Anyways, mom said to go fcuk yourself. She's trying to convince me to take you to court for past child support payments, but I know we are still building our relationship so I am THINKING about passing on this. She's up for another parold review in a few months time. Just thought I'd let you know.

We are dead smack in the city. No woods around at all. I found out that the little old lady 3 homes down is feeding the birds which against the city by-law. She's a nice old lady so I can't report her to the city. She's also very kind to your grandsons so I have to find a way to get her to stop without ratting her out.

Live trap and relocation is the best bet. Birds generally aren't in a coon's diet, but if they can get to that bird feeder of your neighbor's, they will empty it in one sitting. They love seeds and nuts, hell, they will eat just about anything.

Also, any neighbor leaving cat and dog crunchies out at night is feeding this coon. Quit feeding the cats and let them eat the birds the neighbor is feeding

Pop a cap in their asses, make sure Willie is around so you can "miss" and hit him.

                      Thanks.

Dad, I've been having chipmunk issues. The rodents are digging ginormous holes in my yard and in my flower beds, trying to eat my bulbs. Now you know I can't shoot as well as Mom but am thinking that having her over for a shooting party is going to be my only solution. Unless you have some words of wisdom to impart?

I understand Sis, but I believe I'm his oldest child.

No worries on your part though. Ladies and children come first in my world so I'll deal with this and make sure that I am always second fiddle in this strange relationship we all have.

Search Craigs list for a Have-a-heart live trap and bait with a can of cat food. They cannot resist. Relocate it far away. Close off any are around the house to prevent them from nesting in your walls, garage or attic.

Now, now children. Don't fight. There's plenty of me to go around. It's been so long, I can't even remember which one of you is the oldest. Believe you were both born when I was somewhere between 12 and 14. Besides, this is Mother's Day weekend, so go bother them instead of me

Sorry to drag you into this Dad!!!

You were 13 years old and running with the American gypsies when my mom seduced you when you tried to set up shop in Canada. This is soley teh reason for her long stay in jail for statutory rape of a minor. Well that and she severely mental.

Anyways, she's seriously livid with you for telling her you were 16. Now I know who I get my crazed sex drive from you big slut. In my case the apple didn't fall too far from the tree, EH!!!

Mom is in Florida with limited internet access. And I have strep throat. I bet if you would send me some of your homemade beer I could gargle with it and it would kill all cooties in my throat.

the live trap is a sweet idea but I ama bit more blood thirsty than that. One was mocking me the other day.
