Yes, he seem to really blossom this year. Good for him. Hope he continue, though I guess the price on him will be in the shitter from now on.

I HOPE Ubaldo doesn't become the next Kerry Wood who gets relinquished to bullpen duty...at the rate that the Rockies are pitching him, I wouldn't be surprised if I heard that in a few months. Either the pitching coaches are seeing something that we aren't, or they're over pitching him (4 starts with over 115 pitches, 3 of them over 120).

Regardless, all those pretty W's lined up on his scorecards look all the more impressive when you consider how well the NL West is playing right now. Both SDG and LAD are looking like contenders for the pennant.

If he can keep throwing that heat with that kind of movement and stay healthy, he will have a real good shot at the cy young

At this rate, he could end up with an ERA of 0.05.

I dont know if I would call it "emerging" so much as not regressing, we was a top 100 prospect before making it to the majors, he's still young just 26 this year, his 3rd full year, and has simply show steady improvemnt through his first 3 1/2 years.

Obviously he will regress from the stats he putting up now -- but expecting him to be at around a 2-2.2 K/BB, 8 K/9 rate an ERA of 3.00ish and 210-230 IP is reasonable.
