    odds conversions
Hello everyone, I am a newbie here and I am trying to figure out a quicker way to figure out decimal, us odds and fractions. For example lets take -110.

In the USA I know to lay 110 to win 100
In the Euro I know what 1.91 means
In the UK world I understand 10/11

Now lets take a USA moneyline like -1.75 and +1.65

As an US sports bettor I know I would have to lay 175 to win 100 or bet 100 to win 165.
If I lived in europe I would know what 1.57 or 2.65 means

But if I walked up to a window in the UK and saw 4/7 and 33/20 I would be totally confused. Is there a trick to knowing these odds or is it just repetition and practice? Are the Europeans confused to the American way?

Online Lines are always posted in 3 number or more format

    IE -200/+175
    -110/-110

4/7 and 33/20 are odds you will only see at a sportsbook betting on future events here in the USA.

4/7 means exactly wat it is. Bet 4 bucks to win 7. Its simpler to say that to the betting public(newbies in vegas) than to say

    +175(which is the conversion of 4/7(divide 7 by 4) )

That is where I am confused. In my example of a USA moneyline -175/+165 the UK equivilent is
      4/7 and 33/20

LAY -175 the UK odds are 4/7
Take is +165 the UK Odds are 33/20

7/4 = 1.75 and 33/20 = 1.65 . There is no way if I was in ENGLAND would to be able to understand that 4/7 is equivelent to laying -175 and 33/20 is +165.

Since no one else replied maybe I am just mathmatically challenged or need to study more. I am moving to London and like to bet on sports but just may have to bet online instead of visiting their betting shops.
