Your choice to fix the minor damage or live with it, IMO. On a 7 year old truck, I'd pocket the cash....unless it was like a hit to the driver's side door, and you now have to enter from the passenger side, but that would be like a total job on the truck, almost.

I'd gladly take a $1500 dent in my 2000 F-150 4X4, only paid 5k for it 2-3 years ago. Worth like 4k now, smash in my rear quarter panel or something, no effect on driving it, I 'll take 2k for a dent !

Had similar happen to my car ( 2007 CRV), idiot neighbor helped out by removing snow from the car with a snow shovel, caused like $1,000 damage to a car worth maybe 18K, had it fixed on his homeowners' policy. I could have taken the $1,000 or fixed it, I fixed it. I paid 26k for the CR=v, paid like $4,800 for the truck, I'd love a 2k dent in the Ford !

The funny thing is that the cops will not even come to investigate a parking lot accident. A parking lot is considered private property (and it is)...so the Police have no jurisdiction over it...is not public domain.

So at this point it's your word against her word...and it doesn't look good for you because if you go to a small claim court you have nothing, just your (the smart white American) word against her (the poor Asian lady with broken English) word.

Asians, korean especially, will cut their arm off before handing over a $20 bill without getting something in return. Also asians are a very united community, they help one another, I bet she already talked to a bunch of attorneys...while you, like an idiot, are wasting your time on SBR forum.

Go to the place of the accident and see if there are any video recordings of the accident...I bet you are to stupid to have any pictures of the accident taken or the names of some witnesses.

Let me tell you what will happen tomorrow...if you are lucky she will offer you $100 cash...if you refuse that she will tell you about an Asian shop when you could have you car fixed...and if you refuse that too...your only chance to see her again is if you press charges.
