Years ago I thought it was certainly possible and it may indeed be. But BTJ hung out at total square type forums for years like freaksforum and madjacks while Nick was at the Rx and MW scalping and talking sharp angles.

For BTJ not a sharp post on scalping just BTJ normal stuff for many years. Nicky is just not that bi polar to pull it off. Its two different people I'm 98.7% sure of that.

(OK FOLKS, TIME TO REVEAL A 3 YEAR OLD SECRET)
I had been posting for 7 months back in June of 2001 and getting kinda bored a bit, so I was thinking to myself, how can I make this place more fun to be at, seeing I will be hanging around here so often. So I decided to do something extremely different.. So I came up with a character by the name of BTJ. I have been around here now for almost 3 years, and I have had numerous posters email me in private asking me if I am BTJ... I have denied that now for all this time. I never even told any close poster, or even Clevfan, who was here for 3 days, so she doesnt even know. I figured if I tell one person, the whole world would find out, so I kept it hush...

Well folks, here we are 3 years later, and I have decided that I can no longer keep it a secret. Yes folks, I am BEANTOWNJIM indeed, honest.., I really am.. I hope this doesnt ruin it for all you people that enjoyed this character, but I came forward today to tell you all because I think the character is starting to get old a bit, and I dont want to push him too far. It just might be time to walk away.. I cant believe I fooled all you losers out there for all these years.. How you boys were not able to figure this out, is beyond my imagination.. I really wanted to do this back in June of 2001 because I have always loved role playing and I always wanted to become an actor, and what better way to become one than to have practiced here at the forums.

Ok folks, here is how I did it, now pay attention please. I have a friend who lives in Boston who I grew up with in Montreal.. He moved there 7 years ago, his name is really Jim.. Now this Jim does NOT gamble...Every night at 3 am, I send him all the emails of what I want him to say, and he just copies and pastes it before he goes to work in the morning. Everytime I wanted to post, I would email him and he would post it from his IP. This way, Russ or Ken can never figure out its me out of Montreal. If you guys noticed, didnt BTJ always mention Sick Gambler and Scotty Landau. I made him use my name, and bug that Landau..I used the CAPS all the time to try to screw up you losers so you dont figure me out, and it seemed to work. If you also noticed, BTJ always posted at 5 am, and never again all day as he worked his shift. The spelling mistakes and non commas and non periods were put there intentionanally. Meanwhile, I never went to bed before 5 am, as I sent him the emails of all the wacky posts to paste up before he goes to work. So now that you losers know the truth, I would like to thank you all for being the suckers you are and falling for this gag for several years. I really hope you all enjoyed it, and give me another 4 months, I will come up with even a better one that BTJ, but I need time, and I will make sure you all dont ever figure this one out, too. I hope I gave you all some laughs over the past years. I hope none of you took my racism of BTJ too seriously, as you all know it was all part of the game..Jim does NOT know Peter Gammons, nor does he golf, nor is he married to a lovely lady, nor does he ever go to Legal Seafoods, nor does he have a dog named Brownie, nor does he have a Russian neighbor. It was all part of the schtick. He is just a 34 year old kid who is single, doesnt gamble, and works 60 hrs a week.

Id like to also say sorry to Russ and Ken of rx for making them really think that there really was a BTJ all these years...I hope you know I only did this for a joke and try to make the forums more interesting.. I just knew you guys would never pick it up, seeing the posts came from a Boston IP.. LOL...

I call BS

BTJ wanted to verify a good stretch ( at RX) by both himself and his local ( Larry, at another local's PPH book). He wanted Wilheim to have the info, but Wil refused.

Somehow I was selected to verify the bets ( and given acct #'s and passwords). One of the credit books had a NYC bourrogh ( sp) in the name. Bets were made, there was a 10k credit limit, acct was suspended when Jim said he'd be slow paying Larry, it all adds up. His email started with either J or Jim, lost it when my last laptop died.

Point is that is a lot of BS to set up these false accounts at credit books just to scam me into reporting BTJ bet $800 on the Celts. Accounts said welcome Jim ( or Larry) and looked fine. Of course unknown books, just locals with internet accounts, so that's fine.

I say BTJ is what he claims to be, which really isn't much, after all.

I had people question if I was actually a postal worker when I first signed up at forums like RX ( I quit 6+ years ago).

Yeah, I'm going to lie about what I do for a living......I know "Mailhandler" on graveyard shift, is such a dream job ! . Maybe If I was lying , I'd be an architect, city planner, surgeon, or something more than a grunt that unloads trucks for $18/ hr ?
