Well in football you only have 1 starting QB but in baseball you have 5 starting pitchers so it's not a good analogy.

What about all the pitchers that did fine...
Also you can't compare Vasquez and Santana...Vasquez hasn't had any real success in New York while Santana posted a 2.54 ERA in 2008 and a 3.13 ERA in 2009 (gave up 9 earned runs to the Yankees in 3 innings in one game)

I think he was saying players in general for football..... lots of older guys have finished their careers there with a drastic reduction in the production... guys like Jerrry Rice
