    I bet mosley and
I am not a biased fan either way, but mayweather is definately the best fighter in the sport. Pacquiao and freddie roach are second guessing their chances against mosley after this fight.

Patty you don't know anything about boxing. You're basing this entire reasoning on the fight you just saw.

It's always difficult to determine who is pound-for-pound best, especially between these two who have yet to fight, my vote goes to Mayweather. Mayweather's more skilled than Pacquiao IMO, more of a finesse fighter, and all things equal, the fighter with the most skill almost always wins. Not only this, Mayweather is bigger and stronger than many people think and can definitely hurt Pacquiao as he lunges in. If the two do end up fighting, and I believe they will, it will be a great fight for boxing and one I'll be sure to be sitting ringside to enjoy.

As far as Ring Mags ratings...I'm a member of their ratings committee...one thing about their ratings is that in order for someone who is say #7 to get to #1 or to rise in the rankings, they usually need to beat a person higher than them in the rankings or in that spot (like #1 Pacquiao). So a fighter like Mayweather, who many may now believe deserves to rise to the top spot, won't usually do so until he beats Pacquiao. To become the Ring Magazine champion, a fight needs to take place between a fighter at #2 and #1 or sometimes #3 and #1. That's it.

The two ought to fight for their own legacies, the sport of boxing, and most importantly, for their own pockets. I do believe it will happen, eventually, but hopefully it'll be sooner than later. One thing about Mayweather is that due to the condition of his hands, which are brittle and problematic, he doesn't want to fight more than once every 6 months.

A fight of the magnitude of Mayweather-Pacquiao will take at a good 4 months to promote the way they will want to promote it so they're going to need to start negotiating shortly if they want to get the fight made before Xmas. This fight didn't seem to take much out of Mayweather so he'll certainly be ready by then, but whether or not Pacquiao gives in and takes part in the anti-doping tests is another story. For 40 million $$$$ though you'd think both will do whatever is necessary to get the fight made.

Pac is a steroider and the fight is not going to happen because he will not take the test unless it is atleast 24 days from fight as he re-stated again after the fight between Mosley and Mayweather. I know when I used to look for jobs it took like 30 days for weed to get out of your system, this sounds fishy for Pac to be acting like this, what's the big thing with 24 days?

I wont be putting my money against Mayweather anytime soon after an impressive win over an older fighter but still a good win.

I've got Mayweather against anyone. Pac's got nothing.

I made some easy money on saturday. Mayweather by decision all day.

Pacquiao IS the undisputed pound for pound best fighter until Mayweather shuts up takes the fight.

How else can you dispute a Featherweight coming into your division, fighting better fighters, fighting the same guys but beating them in a much more convincing fashion, effectively cleaning out the division in 2 or 3 years?

Because that's what Manny did. Steroids or not, I respect Manny for taking all of the fights that Floyd's ducked for years. He doesn't jump Pacman for finally taking one legit fight in 2010. And that's because he gets no credit for fighting guys like JMM and Hatton at 147 and continually chasing other 140 pounders like Amir Khan and Timothy Bradley, while Cotto and Paul Williams are begging to fight him.

When both sides stfu and meet in the middle on the stupid drug testing, and Mayweather wins... THEN he is the pound for pound best fighter in the sport. Until then? #2.
