Boxing is far from on it's last legs and still regularly beats MMA in PPV buys. I'm involved in the sport of boxing and what most people don't realize is that although boxing is no longer what it once was in the United States, it is growing and prospering in other countries.

Boxing isn't dying, the geography of the sport has changed and with no heavyweight champions from the US, the sport's lagging in the US. Boxing is cyclical but there will continue to be great fights in and out of the US.

Not true at all. Watch Paul Williams next weekend. Take a look at the Super 6 tournament on Showtime. Check out the massive crowds in Germany (or even Montreal for that matter). Boxing has a giant base of European and Latin fans.

Boxing certainly has its problems like the BS sanctioning bodies and lack of big fights on free tv in the US, but the sports is doing well and there are a lot of compelling fighters on the scene right now.
