Doubt we will see Martinez catch Dice-K again this year. Both his starts with Varitek have been brilliant, all his starts with Martinez have been a nightmare.

no it cost them $100 mil, 50 mil to negotiate and 50 mil to sign over 6 years. even bigger waste.

Not from a branding standpoint. You guys forget he was injured. When pitchers are injured its like game over...ya never know what you'll get when they come back.

Varitek is awesome catcher, yes he's old, but he's seasoned and he knows how to screw with a hitter and how to maximize his pitcher. Martinez isn't that the guy they only brought in to catch wakfield awhile ago and now he's the starter mainly????
