i saw a report that the earthquakes are at the typical pace, just that they happened to hit more populated areas thus they get more coverage.............hurricane destroying any important northern city is very very very very unlikely............on the bad side California will be rocked by a crippling earthquake in the next 50 years........and we are way overdue for a new super-bug that usually happens every 100 years

I don't see humanity on Earth ending anytime soon, would sort of take like a major hit from an asteroid or comet (IMO), to wipe out mankind on a planetwide basis. No way you call that, unless you're GOD !
