Cavs losing to Celts will be key to free agency fun
I like the NBA offseason better than the regular season. It's fantasy hoops without arguing about fair trades. Some of the best futures and positions can be had. Everyone has different opinions on how new players will gel and which team will beat Chicago's record season. Betting odds are all over the place. These are bets where a good capper can win consistently without beating moving lines.

I'm a Celtics guy but I want to see them stomp the Cavs because 1) It's always fun to see huge egos go down and 2) I'm a fan of the big NBA shakeups. Does Lebron stay with the Cavs if they lose? I think it's the excuse he's looking for. Does Shaq go to the Wizards and start calling Arenas "the best player he's ever played with"? Ilgauskus to Europe? Cavs get the #1 draft pick in 2012?

    Lebron stays regardless.....

this will be a fun year though for FA.....

I was leaning towards Wade staying in miami too... but now i'm not sure

speaking of the Celtics beating the Cavs so that you can see huge egos go down.... I mean yeah Lebron has a huge ego, and I don't like the way he carries himself....but at least he backs it up better than most...

Celtics roster is 75% HUGE egos..... and they are old, losing their talent egos....

Very interested to see what FA's the Bulls and Knicks can land and who replaces Vinny D in Chi-town

25% flat to get #1 pick, a little bit higher than that because maybe they can get him #2 if someone takes Turner

yeah that's why I inflated it to 30% .... but then again... if they get the #1 pick... who is to say THEY don't take Turner?

have they come out and said that is who they Covet?

Lebron and his mom have huge homes in the akron/cleveland area.... he also gets a ton of extra $ from local endorsement deals.....because Cleveland hasn't had a star or team with the talent of Lebron in well over 50 years......

there are alot of influential people in the cleveland area, that will do whatever it takes (under the table $ to the cavs ownership group) and beyond (some local mafia interests) to keep Lebron in Cleveland...

i give 10-1 odds of him leaving cleveland this off season

He wasn't very impressive in the tourney. He, James, and Wade could theoretically all end up in NJ right? With a Harris trade for draft pick?

                THAT would be some ego.

damn, I saw at half time that Lebron was having a crappy game and the celts up 8 or 10. A champion needs to use those leads on the road. Tonight's winner takes the series IMO. Boston's old men need to get one of these at Cleveland.

If it were guaranteed that if the Cavs lost, Lebron would leave, then I'd like to see the Celts win. But then again I hate the Celts, so I always hope or the worst for them.

                          Cavs will cover easy tonight

Boston had their shot in game 1

lebron will likely be in Cleve next year

should be interesting debates though come June

I agree that free agency this year will be something special. I can't remember a time when so many big-time players were on the block at the same time.
Maybe Milwaukee will shock everyone and get Wade back here (I can dream, right?)

I still remember not too many people thinking the Packers would get Reggie White, or that the Brewers would get CC Sabathia.
So maybe just maybe one of these big names will avoid the Knicks, Nets, Bulls, etc and wind up somewhere unimaginable...
