I was at a Beloit Snapper game who are the Twins class A affiliate in the Midwest League and the manager brought in a right handed reliever against a left handed power hitter with 2 strikes and bases loaded with only 1 out.Weird combination disadvantage for pitcher but he jammed the batter inside with a pitch and the batter took the bait for a swinging strike.Another left handed batter comes to the plate and manager removes right handed reliever. It reminded me of EA sports video game baseball where it's an advantage to have righties throw to lefties and lefties throw to righties where you can jam hitters.

Only in video game I would switch pitchers or hitters based on the count. If there were guys on 2nd and third and 0-2 count I could pinch hit Jack Cust and they would walk him because of his power.

The relief pitcher has a huge advantage in this situation.

I did this once when I was coaching Little League. It worked out for us also.
