I have wondered this for a while. Is it profitable long term to bet on small dogs of like +105 or +1 or 2 or 3 in FB?
The theory is that books may try to get people to take the small fav. When people see a small dog, they automatically think the team has a lower chance of winning, and that the +1 or 2 is useless, and may automatically go for the small fav, thinking the fav has a much higher chance of winning and that the -1 or 2 is negligible. These are psychological first impressions. And I'm talking about the public here, not us sharps on this forum. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say here.
