my front office connection said, that Ozzie really wanted (and still wants) Dye..... he asked for too much....Williams didn't want him anyways.... he also failed to get surgery for his knee with was needed and did no rehab..... he was ready to drift off into the sunset...


that being said.... The guy would be about the worst player in the majors right now....

his bat was so slow last year, that by now...without staying in shape, no spring training, 20 lbs overweight.... he wouldn't even have a slider speed bat...

EVERYONE in the majors learned by the end of last year, you just throw JD high heat and he'll never catch up.....

I gotta figure off the top of my head that 1-3% of americans are black's with an income around 50k a year.... you won't be finding any future MLB-ers from the hood, that is for sure
