Anybody ever call these guys. I know there must be a catch to these guys, there always is. And here is the big question. If they were right 77% of the time or whatever they claim how come they dont just keep betting instead of trying to get money from people over the phone?

don't call any number for free picks. they have caller id. they will harass you nonstop and sell your name and number to other touts. they will call you every saturday morning trying to get you to sign up and pay for their services.
not worth the hassle.
many of them make unjustified claims to their accuracy, or will pick every game, then find a unique twist to the ones that win, and use that as a selling point. such as a high win % for a particular conference or team. but might have losing records for everything else.Comment -

I imagine most people here know how these work, but here goes:
(Assume I own the 800 # offering the "free" 'lock' of the week)
I put out a commercial offering my free lock. I have 2 recorded messages with reasons why each side of the line should be taken as a lock. Randomly callers are assigned to one or the other of these recordings. 50% of the callers will end up on the wrong side and vow to never use my service again. However, 50% will end up on the correct side and think I really know something. Next week, they will be willing to pay for my information (either more games or my next 'lock') because I really know what I'm talking about. The next week, they get randomized again, but still 50% (now, 25% of the original) get it right and really think I'm a genius! They might even tell their friends and even give me a pass one week if I'm wrong. That's not even including the new people you recruit each week. Eventually, you get dissatisfied and stop paying, but there's always another sucker out there in another market or I can change up my spokesperson and 800# and start over.
It's really a math game and has nothing to do with gambling. Technology makes it possible.
This doesn't even take into account all of the extra revenue I could make by selling your call ID'd number to numerous other slimy 'friends' in the business who will harass you into signing up for their own 'locks'.
Hope this makes sense, but it's like taking candy from a baby.

I don't call these clowns either, I can do a better job than them and that is the truth. I always say do your homework and figure it out yourself and not mess with these jokers. Some of the guys here are very smart under the handicapping section, you may want to take what they consider above what those guys that claim that they do such a good job, I would rather do it myself and not pay someone for picks then lose anyways, I been there before and it is not worth it.Comment -
don't call these guys! they're a joke i called these guys years ago cause i only wanted someone to talk to about sports picks. but this is how they work. Say Patroits are playing Cowboys. they would give you the Cowboys and give other customers Patroits. So there's going to be one winner assuming it's not a push. So next week the winner will call back since he won with them and the loser won't if he's smart, and the cycle begins again he's going to give you team A and team B to other customer again one of you will win and call back....goes on and on. end of story!!Comment
