In old days we had 3 leagues and they filled quickly with guys complaining about not getting in in time. Now we are having trouble filling 2 leagues. I get that there is still time but these would have been long filled in years past.

League II Draft is one week from tonight next Wednesday, September 2nd, and we STILL have 5 open spots left. I was hoping to avoid allowing League I members to join both leagues, but that is what I would start doing Monday if entries don't pick up.

But the 3 leagues was a 1000 point buy in. Now it’s 3000 points.

That and the fact poker payouts have been decreased by at least 60% doesn’t help.

I thought we went to 3000 points the last year we had 3 leagues?

Regardless though, we still have plenty of guys now with enough points, it just seems interest is down. Probably because of COVID, but NFL is probably the only league that figures to play all games at originally scheduled dates.

You may be right on 3000 points / 3 leagues. I don’t specifically recall.

It probably is the Covid thing. We will see next year (when Covid is hopefully gone).

We did, year 2 it didn't quite fill the 3rd.

The reduction in points in poker and contests , plus loss of btp are the biggets reasons.

if you want someone from the outsides perspective:

number one reason is covid. ive gone down to 1 league this year (my keeper) because of it. none of us knows what will happened. two, any league but league 1 seems to just be something you do waivers/set lineups/thats it. no trash talk or comradery. some promotion/relegation might help with more sign ups. three, seems to be a lack of points available these days in poker which alot of guys build rolls from. four, the price. its the equivalent of $200 sports book cash for canadians. thats alot imo to pay in a regular season, but now with covid i think people would rather keep rhat in their pocket then risk having to scrounge lineups together last second because a few players got covid
