Two of my kids had them pulled same day. One was in pain for 4 days, one was fine the next day. Depend on if they have nerves wrapped around them

a couple of years ago, remember not eating solid foods for about 3-4 days. they give you lots of pain meds so that isn't much of an issue. overall, relatively painless process, more annoying you can't eat the foods you want.

Well, I'm anticipating that I will have to see an oral surgon also.

It wasn't too bad. . .I did receive slight nerve damage though. As you get older, the roots wrap around nerves in your jaw. I had very little feeling in the right side of my bottom lip for a few months afterward. It never came back totally.

I just got mine pulled last Friday. I got completley knocked out for it, that's the way to go. I was done in like 45 minutes. I was pretty good the next day. The only part that really hurt was the hinge of my jaw from being cranked wide open.

not something you want to do past the age of 35...not recommended, look it up. Had mine out at age 19, 4 impacted teeth, hurt like a motherfukker for a couple of days.

Its not bad. How many? All 4? I had all 4 plus 2 of them werent even showing but they were under the gum so they dug them out. Give yourself 3-4 days youll be sore but nothing real bad.

I had braces when I was a kid, and my dentist pulled 4 teeth to make room for my wisdom teeth. Now my top 2 wisdom teeth are shit so I will have to have them pulled. One of them is chipping away, the whole outer part of it is gone, but it doesnt hurt. About a year ago I went for a cleaning & the dentist told me he could fill them, so the assistant filled the one that's worse & said it would be best to come back & have the other done because at this point with the cleaning & everything I had already been sitting there with my mouth wide open for almost 2 hours.

About 3-4 weeks later that filling came out. So I called & she said to come back. I sat down in the chair to have it done again, and the doc walked in & said he told me that those would have to be pulled within a couple years anyway & the filling may not stay. So I told him fuk it, why am I getting fillings? I told him when the fukin things started hurtin' he could pull 'em & left.

I'm not lookin' forward to it, but I need to get it done.

Had mine taken out three months ago, I'm 21. Was asleep for the procedure and mouth was numb for a few hours after. After the numbness wore off the pain was terrible and I was taking painkillers as often as I safely could. It is worth noting that my wisdom teeth were really ****ed up, the very back ones were almost horizontal and I think that contributed to the pain I felt.
After the third day the pain wasn't too bad, just couldn't eat foods I had to chew a lot which was frustrating. A few weeks later I was able to eat any kind of food.

Had no nerve damage and now I don't get any random mouth pain, so I am glad I got em out.

Had mine pulled a few years ago. It had to be cut out - minimal pain and didn't need a lot of pain meds (just the next day).

Get them taken out if you can. As recently as a week ago, I got the typical infection around the wisdom tooth area, I get them once every few months or so. Except, this time, the infection was so bad, I don't think I've ever been through so much pain. The entire one side of my mouth was swollen, that side of my neck was swollen, I couldn't open my mouth the whole way, I had pain whenever I ate, I couldn't sleep because of the pain and the infection spread to my throat and even my ear. This was unbearable. I googled it and this is called Perocoronitis, apparently I had the most extreme case of it possible. I swear the one side of my entire fkknn head felt swollen. Don't make the same mistake I did, and brush your teeth!

I don't know if it's worse the older you are, but it's not too big a deal.

It's just inconvenvient and uncomfortable the first 3 days. If you're fine without eating for 3 days and there's no blood after the first day (lots of blood to spit up first day) it's no big deal.

Depends on your age and how far they've grown in. I had mine pulled about a year ago, I was 20 at the time, painful for a few days but nothing unbearable. Overall went relatively smooth. Friend got them pulled and he was good the next day, unreal.

i actually needed mine pulled for the past 5 years but never went through with it due to differing opinions. i did get 4 teeth near the front pulled to make room for braces. that hurt like hell and know that the wisdom teeth may hurt more due to slicing of the gum, maybe breaking of bone etc

Do it while awake if possible, it cuts the recovery down alot. Of course, if you're squeamish, the sound of a celery stalk snapping that you feel in your bones may be a problem.

No, I would actually enjoy that.

I thought mine could possibly grow in. 1 started really bothering me in my early 30's. I finally got it pulled around the age of 34 or so. The anticipation in the dental chair was the worst part knowing that I was going to be conscious throughout the whole ordeal. I didn't feel a thing when he actually pulled them(only top 2). Although I could feel he was ripping them out but there was no pain. He literally did them both in less than a minute. There was a lot of blood but I didn't feel any pain. Recovery was pretty quick. A few days later and I was back to normal. Best decision I ever made. I can't say this is the way it goes for everyone but for me it was quick and painless. The worst part about it was my insurance only covered 60% of it. I'm still glad I did it.

SUrgeon gives you Nitrous Oxide A.K.A laughing gas then applies local anesthesia to both sides of the gum.Surgeon then does a test on you to see if you feel pain.He will make a small incision just under the gum line and will proceed to uproot the impacted tooth.Once the tooth has been jacked it is then slowly pulled and the are is cleaned and suctioned.
