I took the Spurs and the -3 against Dallas on sunday the spurs won 92-89 by 3 points how is this a push and not a winning ticket even in a parlay? (new to the game)

Depending on the book you played at with their rules a straight play anywhere would make the score 89-89 a tie nobody wins now on a parlay it could say ties lose or if a 3-team parlay it could become a 2 teamer and if the 2 won you'd win now if it was a 2-teamer it would become a straight play.
Understand you need to look at house rules.......
