How and when do prisoners shave?

I wouldn't shave in prison. I would just eat and sleep. Has to depressing.

Prisoners shave just like everyone else. They use disposable razors and the ones that can afford electric razors use those. The ones that are security threats must shave in front of staff, but for the most part they just shave like everyone else.

I can't believe razors are allowed in jail! Well, i guess in Minimum security it would be OK, but not in Max!

With disposable razors. Cameras are in the pods so guards are watching at all times. Only the highest security threat isnt allowed to have a razor.

Max they still use disposables. The razors in disposables are very small. The weapons they make are with nails or toothbrushes. They grind the ends to make them sharp.

I assure you max or min they all shave just like any of us. The ones in confinement or segregation might be supervised, but the rest aren't. as far as shaving balls and stuff, some of them do it. Some prefer a major mess down there to keep others away from that area.

Everyone gets locked down then a corrections officer goes down the line handing everyone a disposable.You have 15 minutes then they come back down the line collecting them.At each cell they check to make sure the blade is still intact. Not sure if it is a good thing that i know the answer to that.

Actually it gets handed out weekly just as regular essentials are handed out (toilet paper/soap). Maybe some states and counties do it differently. There are a lot of differences between prisons and jails and the rules among the counties and states.

Some prisoners can't shave because they get bumps, those guys have to shave with the electric razor in the barber shop.

How about that there are prisoners who shave co's hair, no scissors, but they use eletric razors.

This is true. One of my old barbers got special privileges in State and County because he cut the CO's hair

remember the tv show "OZ" i remember they had an episode where they showed how they make weapons in prison. lol it was a wicked episode.
