OKC...Does the name change have a "magical" effect?
The reason I'm asking this question is because I've been doing a lot of thinking lately...and maybe it's because i'm bored and buzzed, but didn't OKC not come out of NOWHERE?

Firstly, this is their first season named OKC and right after their name change, they're making their playoff debut after how many years?

Sure--they've acquired some new heads and Durant has been "showing his skills," but who in the NBA doesn't have skill? It's easy to crown someone who is the only person worth talking about on a team. Anyway, I'm ranting. The point I'm trying to make is after seeing the poor poor performance in their last game, I decided to dig up anything I can find.

OBVIOUSLY the game was very fishy, AS WAS the one before that.

Kobe shoots 3 baskets in 1Q, makes 2. Lakers losing.. Doesn't take 3 pt opportunities, instead passes the ball
Kobe makes 10 pts(total) in 2Q. Lakers getting massacred.
Kobe--where is he? Is he just passing the ball? This isn't Kobe we've all known to love(or hate).

He sits out the ENTIRETY of 4Q? Come on, bro.

At the end of the day, OKC "wins" by 21(or 23?)

BUT... They've taken about 26 extra free throws(off the top of my head) and made about 21 extra points off of them.

Let's take a look at the game prior to that. No free throws taken by Kobe(no calls for Kobe). Not sure about the exact number, but a vast amount more free throws taken by OKC and they only win by 5.

REALLY? I think that this is a huge fvcking set up and OKC is going to win the Championship.

How can this happen? 4 out of 5 starters (or 5 of 5?) are making their PLAYOFF debut. Give me a break. Maybe Phil Jackson isn't in on the joke, as he has already complained about KD getting "star treatment." I think this lopsided treatment is going to last until the last game of the season.

It is almost inconceivable how this is possible to me. Shit, maybe I'm just buzzed. Lakers have been blown out plenty of times, but Lakers are just a small example of my case here. EVERYTHING is seeming a little fishy:

    Scott Brooks
    KD "all star" champ
    Squad of playoff virgins
    Franchise name change
    Miraculous 23-59(08-09) to 50-32(09-10) turnaround
Current All-Star players are getting old and leaving poised to leave the spotlight

    :

In my head, this is all leading up to a term that I've just made up:

a "Huge setup, upset, turnaround, hype, new generation cast"

As undisciplined as I am(yes I admit it), I'm going to try my BEST to stay away from any series that OKC is involved in.

Anyway, I'm here to enjoy the show and if OKC takes the title you know who told you so.

Let me know what you guys think, I'm paranoid yes and NBA does have a lot of weirdo sh*t happening all the time, but geez, this one got me

Just talk sh*t, we're all open to ideas. I'd just like to stir up a little bit of conversation on the topic

Right you are. And most the crew was there too, minus Harden. What made each year different? The coach yea, but how big of a stretch is that? Again, speculation, an inducing open conversation. Thanks for your input Masu, early bird special, eh?
