across the united states, that there isnt somebody better than that ukrain dude on Utah. Sometimes I think they take these guys just to be politically correct. When I was in rehab in elgin illinois, they had a park with a court right next door. Half them guys playing there daily were better than this dude.

I guess your right, but the league seemed more entertaining before the european influence.

Teams have scouts all over the world. The guys from Europe don't go to college so it's easier to recruit them because they are pros in their countries since they are 16 year old. So teams prefer to draft someone with 4-5 years pro experience than someone who went to college here in the States. Also these guys play each other in World Championships from the time they are youths and scouts see them all the time.

Makes sense. Some of them seem so clumsy though. Like that Dvac guy a few years ago.

This is a joke, right? Political Correctness for whites is the oxymoron of oxymorons, wow.

And you think 13% of the population should make-up 100% of NBA players as if it were normal?

I am not a racist no more. I just think that if everybody had a chance to tryout, the NBA would be all african-americans. They are by far the best basketball players.

Racism: a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement

So you think you're NOT racist by believing blacks are inherently better athletes when in fact it is the very definition of it? Sweet irony,

Funny, saying blacks are better athletes based on statistics and performance is usually acceptable to say, but if someone were to say blacks are not as smart based on statistics and performance, there would be uproar.

And you're absolutely kidding yourself with this "chance to try-out" as if there are barriers to blacks in sports when it's 100% the opposite. Coaches/Recruiters see a black kid and immediately think he is better.

Another thing to ponder: if we saw 10 whites on an NBA court, people would start to ask questions about racism (even though they're 65%+ of the population), but when we often see 10 blacks, it is seen as the norm (even though they're 13% of the population).

I agree. There are a lot of people out there better than Dirk but they just haven't gotten the chance to tryout.

it may just be the mormon influence at work. either the n.b.a. is sending out missionaries on two year basketball recruiting stints or the church is using the n.b.a. as a means of infiltrating eastern europe.
