It bounced all the way back to the catcher and he almost caught it..would have been an out. Berkman hit that about as hard as you can. Glad the pitcher looks alright though.Comment -

i saw that...was watching the score on my phone, as i had Houston, and figured the long delay after Berkman hit was for an injury..i felt this sealed the game as no way you can have a pen throw essentially 9 innings unprepared like that and still win, not usually anyway.Originally posted by ShortstopComment -
Amazingly enough, he only suffered a head contusion and a mild concussion. No bleeding or swelling of the brain.
Berkman is a class act, he went and visited with Jakubauskas at the hospital.
