my son just gave me the low down which makes perfect sense like usual:
he is good luck
his mother is bad luck

he is going with me to the bucks game right now
his mother is going with me on monday

therefore, the bucks will win tonight and lose monday

this pattern has worked in the past, most recently in the 2008 mlb playoffs when my son went with me for game 3 (brewers win) and his mother went for game 4 (brewers loss)
