    Bonds Bashing In Playboy
Picked up the new issue of Playboy and Bond's former mistress has a spread near the front of the magazine. Super hot lady but clearly a gold digging tramp. She did confirm the following:

    1) Bonds is a tax cheat
    2) Bonds hits women
    3) Bonds is a racist
    4) Bonds used EXTREME amounts of steroids

Real class act this guy is!

She was on Howard Stern's radio show last week and came across as pretty intelligent, however I agree she is airing dirty laundry either for attention and/or money.

They tried to shut her up with $20,000; she knew she could get more posing in Playboy or selling the information.

Bonds should have given her more money but he is a selfish greedy bastard. Too bad his record is tainted and the Hall of Fame ball will have a nice * on it.

        F Bonds!

Why is his record tainted? Do you think all Ruth’s homeruns were legit? Pitching was awful back then; A fast ball was anything that moved faster than a bicycle in those times.

Steroids can turn the average athlete into superman. It's like letting Superman himself compete in the Olympics and letting the records stand.

He broke Aaron's record and if you want to go there...training, nutrition, and equipment were less advance when both Ruth and Aaron played.

Ruth hit more home runs than entire teams. That is an amazing accomplishment. It would be like Bonds hitting 180. Also pitchers were throwing spit balls and shine balls and everything else.

Money can't buy happiness and it doesn't sound like Barry is that happy. I think if Bonds was cordial with people and didn't like a jerkoff 24/7 the public would accept him.

It is an even field in my opinion. If a pitcher is taking steroids, like Clemens, and is pitching to Bonds and he hits the homerun is the HR tainted because the pitcher or the hitter took steroids?

Pitchers would not take GH or muscle building steroids because they would bulk up and it would mess up their motion. They may take Winstrol which is used by track athletes but gaining 20 lbs or increasing your bench press by 100 lbs is not going to add 10MPH to your fastball or help you throw a better curve.

It will help you recover quicker though.

                                Exactly correct!

To hit more home runs than entire teams were hitting is an accomplishment that is truly hard to fathom.

Steroids also help you pitch in your mid-forties. How many basketball, football or soccer players do you know that are at the top of their game in their mid-forties?

If hitters take steroids then pitchers take them too. There are many variations of steroids. What works for a hitter may not necessarily work for a pitcher but there are illegal drugs for everyone to use.

I don't agree with that; steroids most likely will shorten a career because of the injuries caused by growing pressure on joints and the numerous muscle tears.

                                      Your evidence is...?

I was under the impression (but admit that I cannot prove -- haven't looked up the medical literature) that a principal benefit of steroid use is improved recovery from training, and that recovery time is more an issue for older athletes. I believe this is the conventional wisdom. Are you saying that you know this to be wrong, or are you just making it up?

Re Bonds's sins, it seems odd to me that with all the Balco talk, people seem to have forgotten what I believe to be his greatest sin against baseball: he's mean to fans. To me, that's end of discussion. It was different in Ruth's day, at least arguably; today, with star athletes making in a day what an average fan makes in a year, the athlete's failure to act grateful for that should, in my opinion, disqualify him from adulation regardless his on-field accomplishments. Barry's paid not just to (cheat and) hit home runs, but to treat his fans well. He doesn't. He deserves nothing but scorn, and those who hired him anyway are spineless pussies.

The extra muscle puts added pressure on joints and the muscles tend to tear easier. Most frames are not meant to carry that much muscle so the body breaks down faster.

The article incuded some of the injuries Bonds sustained including a torn tricep. I won't even discuss how he tried injecting GH into his penis.

Dying from a heart attack will also shorten one's career. Recovery time is faster but the potential for serious injuries is greater as well.

I didn't realize Ruth still held the record that Bond's broke...
