As much as I always said I'd head back to Canada if a major war broke out, I think I'd truck it to New Zealand. No one gives a rats arse about that country except for Lord of the Ringers. Too many Yanks try to sneak into Canada nowadays - especially after the whole legalised marijuana and gay marriage thing. Perfect target for anti-American countries.

Canada is huge. The area of effect from a nuke is not as big as you think. Japan is total 150k sq. mi. and large portions of it were untouched by the two bombs we dropped. This this is about the size of Montana or roughly California. You could fit over 25 Japans inside Canada, it is massive.

By comparison Costa Rica is the size of Vermont, or less than 1/7 the size of Japan. Two or three nukes there would pretty much be the end.
