When will Circus Circus be raised? It's once glorious or should I say peculiar novelty act attraction past is all but completely gone. You never even hear of the place anymore. It never seemed like a good mix where they wanted to attract high roller whales while the smell of poo-pee and talcum powder wafted through the air as well as crying, screaming and temper tantrums ran rampant. And then besides the old people doing that, there were the throngs of babies.I swear the whole buffet had a stench to it from the babies who were recycling taco dinners from the night before. On 3 different occassions I saw old people die in the buffet. One guy was in line with a huge platter of food and just hit the deck.No one even was upset by it and things went back to normal immediately.Someone out there has to produce a video game about it all.

The CIRCUS CIRCUS buffet is certainly legendary.

Having said that, this joint has offerred me some great gaming over the years...........from free half points on games, +ev slots machines, +ev video poker, and good blackjack coupons.

Spent a lot of time in this little ballpark over the years and came away with some nice rewards.

Good luck with that these days, Fishhead. It's an MGM/Mirage property. They had plans to build a second project similar to City Center where Circus Circus currently resides. Had the economy not tanked, they would likely be in the process of building it now as they shelled out a ton of money for adjacent lots to the property. As things stand now, they'll likely be pretty gunshy to pursue that project. It won't happen any time soon.

no reason to blow it up, the land isnt worth much of anything any more. when across the street youve got fountainblue yet to be finished, and echelon sits, and desert blue sits next to the Rio, etc etc

if there's no money to finish projects already started, there's certainly no money or reason to demolish a profitable hotel/casino and start another new one.

Circus Circus brings back good memories of my childhood... I was fortunately lucky to be able to spend New Years there every year with my parents in Late 70's / Early 80's. Was one of the first to cater to the FAMILY!!!!! Haven't been there in years thou... I'm sure it is out dated with everything else on the strip. One of the last "Old School Vegas" Casinos on the strip. I now prefer Downtown compared to the Strip... Downtown just has that old vibe.

The steakhouse is very good. Doesn't look like it belongs there at all.

I haven't been on that end of the strip in so long that I forgot it was still there. Once the Stardust closed, I stop going that way.
