i heard you get 1.5k a year. what are the requirements? if you get a mailbox in alaska for 200 dollars a year, that is like 1.3k profit for doing nothing. there is no immigration, so i donno how they know you're actually in alaska.

I'm not exactly sure about the residency requirements for O&G dividend payments but generally the legal test for residency is physical presence with the intent to remain.

They probably ask you questions on a form like what are residents of Alaska called. Anyone that answers, "Alaskians" is not allowed in.

I'm also guessing there's a little more to it than renting a box in the post office. Not everything in life is as easy as having multiple accounts at a sportsbook, pico.

1.5k for free is a good deal. I prefer the cold to the heat.

I was always under the assumption that in order to get legal residency in any state you need to get a state-issued ID, such as a driver's license, and trade in your old one from your previous state.

I've heard nothing about this. Why are they paying people to move to Alaska & who's paying for it?

The oil companies pay for it. Its just a windfall tax thats divided among the residents.

In regards to collecting it, you would first have to become a legal resident. That means proving residency. You would need a utilities bill of some sort.

You would also most likely need to pay income tax to the state of Alaska as well.

probably a DL and an address would work. Voting would help, as would a job or being a student, and utility bills as backup, or stuff like car registration, rent receipts, insurance, etc.

                                    too cold for me.
