    Pretty standard for those teams.
Go to the top half of the league and I bet all the games were sold out.

I know those teams suck. But the Mariners had won 5 games in a row and still only 33%.

Maybe its the NBA Playoffs. Maybe its just that sitting through 9 innings of baseball is hell like going down on Roseanne.

I just say you should buy the cheap $8 seats and then move to a good $50 seat. There will be plenty available, and can they really say anything. They cant afford to piss off customers when they are 3/4 empty already.

Maybe its normal first month of the year, but I have never been to a game where its been 70% empty.

Only the Red Sox game was 100%. Even good teams were 60-70%

Can you compare it to 4/20 from the last 5-10 years ?

I'd guess it costs too much, so the economy.

I noticed a lot of empty seats watching the Oak/NYY game last night. NYY should be a premium draw, but Oakland is a slum.

Bad economy, high prices and loss of interest in game

It's cold in april. Only baseball fans are paying attention to the games until after the all star break.

Yankees vs. Oakland was 56% full.

Thats about the 3rd best draw of the whole night in MLB.

I was thinking it must be the economy too, but I know in Seattle you can buy a shit seat for $7 and then just sit where ever. You arent suppose too, but they dont say anything, especially when its 70% empty.

Definately a combination of things .. Alot of poor attendence stadiums; its April so the weather isn't all that great; its s Tuesday and Basketball & Hockey playoffs are going on.

I read in the USA today that 2 teams had their all time low attendance records in their new ballparks yesterday.

The Mets and Nationals had the lowest attendance they have ever had in the 3 to 4 years since they opened their new parks yesterday. The Nationals lowest attendancerecord ever broke a record they had set just days earlier. The Nationals probably will end up stinking, but they are over .500 so far.

If i lived closer to a park i'd go every chance i get.

Baseball should has betting kiosks at stadium's, they'd triple attendance over night
