Holt set to sign with Patriots
Torry Holt told WRAL's Jason Jennings at his annual golf tournament that he would sign with a team soon.
Apparently, Holt knew more than he was letting on at the time.
The one-time N.C. State star wide receiver and seven-time Pro Bowler will be taking his game to New England.
WRAL has learned through sources close to the situation that Holt will line up with the Patriots next season, just one year after the only touchdown-less campaign of his likely Hall of Fame career.
The Boston Globe is reporting that the 12-year NFL veteran will sign a one-year deal worth $1.7 million.
Holt, who caught 51 passes for 722 yards last season with the Jacksonville Jaguars, had stated that he wanted to play with an elite quarterback. Tom Brady certainly fits the bill.
