I disagree, there is steam in baseball. Example, the yankees went from -118 to -142, I would consider that steam. It was not just a couple of "whales" it was "Joe Public" and "mother"!

Indeed, you can get steam anywhere. However, you will tend to get faster moving lines on the lesser-bet sports/games - a 10K bet on college hoops is a lot more likely to cause a big line movement than a 10K bet on the Superbowl. It's all about size of bets in relation to the size of the betting market.
