By the same token, it was obvious the second base umpire missed the call when he banged Chipper on the pick-off play. Chipper was safe.
While I didn't agree with the second base umpire calling the balk. The pitcher continued to balk, but it wasn't called the rest of the game.

It was obvious the balk call was a make up call for the Chipper call earlier at second base since it was called by the same umpire. But the umpire at first called it for the home team. I felt like the Braves were treated like the Yankees in Bronx on that play. It will be interesting to see if this call affect the wild card race in September.Comment -
