Geesh,it shouldn't have been a slow news night where the world is crumbling at the seems and financial doom is ready to open a can of whoopass on the world so why did NBC News have to run this story. Can anyone think of a more revolting news story to make you go cold turkey on ever eating anything remotely associated with pancakes and waffles again in your life?It affects both old and young alike where your pee takes on the aroma of maple syrup. Why look a gift horse in the mouth, just save your old Mrs.Butterworth bottles and sell them at a roadside stand advertising them as 100% natural maple syrup. This whole thing sounds like a plot in the next Deuce Bigellow movie where he has to take out a lonely woman with this disease and his dad the washroom attendant has to clean up after her.Now guys have to hear it from their wives that they made the whole house smell like the waffle house when they go to the can.

Why did you have to post it? You're no different from NBC...as that's how rumors/stories take on lifes of their own.

None of us are ever going to follow up on this story on our own (for obvious reasons), but what exactly is the problem?
