College Stars....NFL busts:

With the trade of Ginn Jr. to San Francisco from Miami, it makes me remember how I thought this guy was going to be great in the NFL. I guess I was caught up in the bowl games where he ran one for a 70 yard TD, and then the next year in a bowl game returned a kickoff for a TD.

Can anybody else admit to thinking that certain players from college were going to be great, but only turned out to be a bust? (you personally thinking they were going to be great, not the media)

good topic. The superstars in college rarely turn out to be superstars at the next level. Dont get me wrong, there are alot that do, but there are more under the radar guys in college that turn out to be better at the next level. Look at Peyton. Come from a great football school with great coaching, but never won a NC, never beat Florida. Tony Romo, went to a step above a community college. The greatest, Tom Brady, 3rd string QB at Michigan. Terry Bradshaw was under the radar from LaTech & has 4 super bowls. As a coach & owner, I would not spend the big $$$ for a highly touted QB when I can make the playoffs with an average one & train him to be better in my system. Offensive line is where it's at.
