Seen plenty of these in my time at SBR, you know the drill:

"I'm playing so and so heavy tonight, strong inside information."

Since no one ever explains their supposed insider information, why don't we come up with some alternate meanings for the "strong inside information" crap. Where do you think people really got their "strong inside information" ? Add yours below, maybe this will be fun, maybe it won't be.

My sample ...

"Strong Inside Information" = I got drunk at Hooters and when I was tipping the waitress $100 on a $5 beer because I got to see cleavage, I thought I saw a birthmark shaped like the state of Florida on her left breast ... so I'm pounding the Marlins tonight.

it's never publicly released. And whoever is privy to it, if they were to release it on a forum, that would be the last time they were in the know.

Bookmakers are like a fraternity, all across different regions of the country. I used to work in the biz a little, getting info during football season.

i used to have great "inside info" on Rams game back in the day a friend of mines sister dated 1 of the players and we used to be out parting our asses off with a bunch of them Sat night before a game and they be getting fukked up till early mourning hours playing a 12 o'clock game, wasnt hard to figure out what was gonna happen....that the closest thing i ever had to "real" inside info

It is a ploy to get weak minds who believe in such a thing to bet your pick with greater confidence.
If it loses it was bad beat, if it wins then you hope to gain respect and power on a gambling forum.
that or they are completely fuking with you so they can gain something from it,
eg. a better line or something

If you can get towel boys & cheerleaders in your pocket you can get some good info that really makes a difference on how certain players are gonna perform, injuries that's not released to the media, etc... Bartenders around campus know shit ESPN couldn't dream of

Well when you have strong inside info you do not want to reveal your source. I at times say I have inside info and I win approx 65% of those so you see why I do not want to reveal where I got the info.

It just all smells like BS. You don't have to name names or anything, but seriously if you think you have an edge when a team is favorite in the 1st place - learn how to not out your source and try to explain your supposed inside info. Until I see some scarcity of proof, I think all inside info is BS.
