Obviously several warned about the poor money management risk...but you have to feel for her. I had no bet but when I saw the amount was rooting for the caps... Started watching in 3rd period Montreal really dominated the play and when they won in ot they were outhustling the caps.
WAS this the biggest losing bet ever posted on sbr tonight?

Heck, I'm embarassed to admit I've done it with half of mine and I can guarantee my friends don't have anywhere NEAR the overall sports knowledge that TB's do.
That being said though, I absolutely hate betting on hockey and haven't done it in years. Crap like this happens in every sport but it seems to happen in hockey just a little bit more. Or maybe that was just when I was betting on the games.
Regardless, TB will make it back, just as quite a few of us do when we take a big loss. The numbers are scary to comprehend to those who normally max out at $100 units, but comparatively it wasn't that bad.
I still feel sick for TB though. Stupid bloody Habs.Comment -

#14Originally posted by shari91I think it's all relative though. If you have $175k in your account, your friend tells you about a play on a very big fave, would you risk 1/4 of your account balance?

#18Originally posted by G's pksHonestly no I would not risk nearly 25% of my bankroll on a friends advice...and if it was 43,000 and I lost that friend better hide!. Luckily the couple of times I've done it in the past, no lives were lost.
Then again, it'd be pretty hard to plead temporary insanity if I killed someone over a couple of grand. $43,000 though? I bet you the jury would come back with 'not guilty' before Judge Judy even got the chance to enter the courtroom.Comment -
