Jason Heyward is piling up the hits
12 RBI's in 9 games. He is going to have great numbers this year.

Real excited about Heyward's start. Would love to see Atlanta hang around and win the division.

Doubt that would happen this year but they will be scary the next couple years with all the young talented players and how they develop prospects

ROY written all over him, Cox has gotta be having second thoughts about retiring after watching this kid play.

I don't think so either, but you never know what could happen. Only 2 weeks into the season. Just excited with the great start from Heyward. They have Freeman in AAA who should finally take over 1B for Atlanta instead of the revolving door. They have some good pieces overall. McCann is solid and Escobar keeps getting better with his offensive numbers.

Do the braves have a shot at making the playoffs this year? Going to be hard to outduel the fighting phils.

Braves will not make the playoffs but this kid is the next Frank Thomas.

                              Pavy,
The thing I have been most impressed with is after he hit Zambrano's fastball 400+ feet in the first game of the season, the Cubs got him out over the next couple of days with soft stuff away. He had a mini-slump, an 0 for 12 I think). Then he made the adjustment and started taking the ball the other way. He had an HR to left and had several hits to left and left center.

In the major leagues, they find the hole in your swing and then they pound it till you fix it or they'll run you out of the league...Looks like the kid can make the adjustment!

                              Doc

I think they'll be in the hunt for the Wild Card...

Not much of a chance at the Division, but the Wild Card is a very good possibility though.
