    bank account in the carribeans
since we're talking about which island is best for betting. i think this is a good time to ask,

which carribean island is the best place to open an offshore account where you can use online bank wires.

please say which bank at which island...i think different branches on different island countries are considered different entities.

i believe there is a 10k min deposit? and they all have annual fees.

Pico way too much money for wires using those places, it is hard enough with VIG. I have tried it and simply not worth it and the hassles.

depends on how much you're moving at once. with large amounts bank wire is the best way to do it.

I think banks in most of those places charge a percentage of the amount being transferred (with a min and a max) rather than a fixed fee. So small wires are expensive and large wires are very expensive.

thanks for that info. i did not know these pirate banks have such practice. damn, that is pretty bad.

does the banks in panama, costa rica, and netherland antillies also charge a percentage fee for bank wires?

Sorry I don't know about other places.

Why not choose a 1'st world country to bank in - like Canada or United Kingdom ?

i think switzerland, luxemberg, and isle of mans are the best places. UK and Canada, you still have to pay tax on interest earned in the accounts.

why do people use caymen islands? does caymen banks also charge a percentage fee on wire transfers?

                  Bermuda!!

                  Hi Pico,

Bermuda is excellent since you specified a Carribean island, well to think of it :Bermuda is not in the carribean because it is parallel to N.Carolina(600 miles east).Nevertheless it is the only country outside of Canada and the U.S. that is not third world in all of the Americas. It is also tax free,if your not going to put your money in the Isle of Man,Switzerland,Lichtenstein or Monaco than Bermuda is great.I know because my father as money stash there as in the other euro tax heavens.By the way it is also tax free.

thanks for the info. i think i'll swing by bermuda the next time i visit the states. i am always paranoid about stashing money away in third world countries. 1) go watch the movie "blow" 2) you might get robbed on your way to and from the bank 3) shitty country is just a downer...i visited tiajuana a while back...man i would never go back to that shit hole.

speculator, what is your take on caymen island?

I haven't heard anything bad about the caymans except that there is a lot of 'DIRTY CASH" as in criminal money.I would stick with Bermuda but that is not a indictment of the Caymans because i do not know enough about it to do so.

There is a site but I can't remember its name. I tried a google search on Loomamatic and returned nothing. The books they sell are for entertainment only but are really books for criminals. They have books on many subject including this one which tell you what to do exactly.

I think this is the site but it's waiting to be renewed.

Many banks in the UK and Canada do not report to the IRS.

BOM, CIBC, and RBC are several.

Many banks will wire online. Just call and ask them.

Whether or not a bank reports to the IRS, you still legally must pay taxes.

                            Panama and Nevis.

I would not recommend it for the average guy its just too much trouble.
