Anyone have an opinion on Direct TV ????
I've been having problems with my Time Warner and I'm thinking about switching to Direct TV. What is your experience with them?

Does it get messed up during T-storms, snowstorms, etc.?
People have told me that they try to jack up your price after a while, is this true?

Another positive of Direct TV would be to get the TVG and NFL channel.

Please share your experience with them.

Directv is the best, been a customer since 1998. HD DVR is ESSENTIAL!

Dtv is the best but they do rape you because they know they are the best, however over the years me and my band of criminal friends have found "creative" ways to get every package and keep cost down

This is a thread that percolates up from time to time . You will find basically two camps: 1. Those who LOVE Directv and 2. Those who HATE Directv. You can include me in those who LOVE Directv. I have an HD receiver with DVR, NFL Sunday ticket, MLB Extra Innings, and Mega March Maddness. And on my 58 inch plasma TV its just like being there!!! I agree. The best service and program options. I lose reception about once a year because of heavy rain or snow

                  thanks for the opinions!

I'm leaning heavily towards getting it. The Verizon package that includes Direct TV w/DVR is going to save me $40 a month plus give me the few extra sports channels. Plus, I won't have to deal with Time Warner coming every week to fix a new problem!

If you go with Directv be prepared to be parted with a lot of your cash. There is a charge for everything and prices go up at least $10 per year on all those sports packages. The shit that pisses me off is that I need ESPNU and the FOX soccer channel but have to pay $12 a month for the sports pack to get them which consists of at least 50 channels I will never watch.
