Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest

I know its still a few months away but the over/under for the winner has been set at 72.5. Joey Chestnut must compete for action.

now i know chestnut ate 68 in last years contest, shattering his previous record of 59 from the year prior (for those that don't know, the contest was reduced from 12 to 10 mins two years back). averaging 7.2 dogs/min seems absurd to me, and can only be reached by chestnut if he's having a real good day.

Any thoughts on the competition? This under is appealing imo.

i would go under.
nobody other than chestnut can do that, and for you to lose he would have to beat his best day ever by 5 dogs. might happen but i would put the odds of it happening at less than 50%.

I will definitely go with under. In a related note, what's your favorite Twilight Zone episode? There are so many but the 1st one that comes to mind for me is the one with William Shatner in that little diner with his wife. They pay a penny to ask this little devil-like thing questions. The last question I remember Shatner asking was "Will anyone eat more than 70 Hot Dogs on the 4th of July in 2010?" and the Devil answered something like "Not even Jenna Jameson could take on that many wieners in a single day". So yeah, I'll go with the under.

never really watched the twilight zone.

the MLE should include jameson or some top pornstar to "consume hotdogs". would be a big ratings grabber for sure.

ominous how shatner asked that ques. for 2010 so long ago, it could very well happen.
