Who knows with Boston this year, they play some games where they could win it all and they lose some pretty bad games too. They haven't been a good team at home at times which has never been like that before for them either with the new look team. They've been saying all along that they have been saving energy and legs for the playoffs and they'll turn it on then so I guess we'll see

Well you apparently don't read the Boston Globe or any Boston sports articles and probably don't live in Boston either like I do, but that's definitely the way they have operated and said as much. Doc Rivers has said how the celts will 'turn the switch' on for big games, and that's why they've been bad ATS with poor teams they should beat easily aka the nets, wizards, et al

yea they could have won 55-60 games if they felt like it... but didn't bother since regular season wins don't matter as much as playoff game wins....

Making the playoffs is all. The playoffs are like another season, 2 months? Why not just a 2/3 week deal. 5/7 games series are stupid just make it a 3 game deal at most. I'd rather see a One and done like the NCAA.

They all played 82 games to position themselves for a spot why play another 15-20 games

The way they have collapsed in the second half of games consistently all season long, I wouldn't be surprised to see them lose in the first round at all. and I say that as someone from the Boston area who wants them to win.

if i was to put a number at it i'd say 75-80%

they play their games 75% (usually have 3 good quarters, one pretty poor one, which was almost always the quarter when they would blow the lead they had built)

I don't think they will make it past the first round honestly. They could be saving themselves for playoffs but they have been playing some pretty bad basketball with their starters in. If they do make it past the first round they will get thumped in the second round. To be honest I hope they get beat in first round though.
