It doesn't get much better than the duo of Hawk and Steve Stone!

i agree about uecker, and even scully!
but harry caray was pretty much just a drunk at the end, "holy cow it's a deep fly - and caught by the shortstop..."
more of a joke than anything resembling a good broadcaster at the end.

Ueker may be the best now, but until about a year ago it was Kalas...

I will listen to the Brewers radio stream via MLB.radio just because of Uecker. Agree that he is the best radio play-by-play voice going these days.
A few years back, and for a long time before that, the BEST on the radio was Ernie Harwell.
I've said it before and will say it again and again: I really wish you younger posters (under 40 yrs old) could somehow go back and listen to an entire season of games on the radio in the time that it was common for there to be just one voice in the booth at a time. Gene Elston was my introduction as a young kid (we'd also pick up Jack Buck occasionally on skip). Harry Kalas cut his teeth as a play-by-play man in Houston under Elston's mentorship in the 60s, and I hated it when Kalas left.

Uecker is awesome! I loved listening to him back in the 80's when he did the games of the week.
and who could forget the classic beer commercials he did!
