Can I assume a 50% loss? Not posting figures, but should I put it for sale for 50% under retail?
What's a good price for the exs ring?

#2Yeah man. Especially if it looks more like an engagement ring and less like a "dress up" ring. There is little market for these things b/c each couple wants to make it personal. If it has engraving or something knock some more off the price. Sucks... but all you gotta do is put is all on black and you get back to even.Comment -

#4I have been in the jewelery business for years, depending on the size of the main stone, and factoring in where you purchased the ring you will not get any where near retail for it. Your best bet is to sell it to a private party, if you try to sell it to any kind of pawn or jewelery store, they will offer you about 10% to 25% of what the retail is. If someone offers you 50% of retail, JUMP ON IT!Comment -

#5Depends on the quality of the stones pal. If you bought it at your neighborhood Zales or Kays jewelry store they are known for cloudy diamonds ya heard.Comment -

#13Just keep it. You'll lose your fukin mind and ask another bitch to marry you. After you're engaged about 6 months and are tired of her the ring is a perfect out. Have one of your friends wives/gf's leak to her that it was your ex's ring & she will leave your ass quick! You win both ways, you get rid of her & dont have to come up with the breakup lines!Comment -

#21You can buy a ring for less than 50% retail online. I bought a ring for $1400 and then when was getting a band added to it they wrote down $5000 on the insurance paperComment -
