I agree our weakness is bullpen/closer but we might not even need it if we score 10 runs a game.Our starters with Happ and Kendrick a year older and wiser just is icing on the cake.

Finally. Someone is speaking with some sense when it comes to the phils. Have i not been telling this forum this for months now? when you have the track record that the phils have in the second half, and have fielded your projected opening day lineup 8 times, yet compile the same record at the halfway point as you had in each of the previous 2 seasons (both ended as NL champs, one as WS champs) and now have the best 1-2-3 SP in the game.... it is, unfortunately, inevitable.
All yanks fans could comment on smugly, was the fact that you "can't win a World Series with one Pitcher," (Cliff Lee in 2009)... well.. I think we will be bringing more to the party than just one this time out.
Also, have you checked the numbers that Madson and Lidge have been putting up over the last several weeks? Rolling along ridiculously.

You can get Phillies at 9.5 - 1 to win it all and SD 15 - 1 - seems like good bets. Atlanta is 9-1

See Rollins last night. Getting hot.
Utley is back.
Raul is playing great.
Chooch is the most clutch hitter in baseball right now.
Howard will be back any minute.
They are FINALLY getting healthy.
and are 20-5 in their last 25.

Phillies need to add a LH reliever. I think they will get one this month. Not a star just a decent LH Reliever hopefully one slipped through waivers.

You said it all. Phils are rolling now. Howard back in the 4th spot will be dangerous. Rollins back. Most importantly the bullpen seems to have tightened up since last year. Madson is lights on and Lidge has really improved. I like their chances. Threepeat NL champs coming soon.

Phillies' offense isn't good enough; in the postseason, there are only so many games you're going to win, 1-0 or 2-1.

This whole thing is a crapshoot. Tampa Bay's bullpen is mediocre (or worse), Yankees have so-so pitching and hitting, St. Louis has scored fewer runs than Houston, a team that's about 25 games below .500, and you can go right down the line.
