    Masters Course Is Too Easy
Needs to be changed, par 5's are a fukkin joke

Way way too many birdies and not enough trouble, guys hit in the fukkin trees and have shots at the green??

I never saw so many eagles and birdies

Tiger could of been -20 if he putted better

This is a major and course needs to be tougher

it is a little ridiculous when 50-60 year old guys are shooting the best rounds of there masters career, the greens seemed much more receptive than in years past and the weather was better than most years it seems

      Exactly

Phil played perfect though and deserved to win, no one was beating him

I agree 100 percent with the original post. I hate par 5s where players are hitting driver/7-iron. You want a risk/reward par 5? then made 'em hit a 3-wood into the green.

The course could've been harder, but they did have just about perfect conditions the entire weekend.

Yes I tend to agree. I'm no golf expert but am I right in saying that this is meant to be one of the tougher courses on the circuit yet guys were able to make insane recoveries on just about every par 4 and part 5 hole. I prefer the events were it is a mission just to make par for the tournament.

Course favors long hitters and being wild is rarely penalized.

I played this course in 2002 and shot an 88.

the par 4's are extremely tough, the 5's are not-even for your average weekend duffer-I hit driver->3 iron on a couple.

I like it because it is brutal in spots and easy in others, but yeah, the weather this weekend was just perfect for scoring-if there's any wind here this course becomes much tougher.

most overblown event of the year, EVERY year. Its not even that great of a course, try branching out a bit, all the other majors are at a DIFFERENT course every year, why does this one stay in the same place, with its antiquated rules and nonsense.

The course will not be changed. Greens are very hard, the course is not easy. Just the best golfers in the world playing great golf.

Course is great, players are playing it more and more and that is why you see them succeeding.

It's the downhill fairways is what makes the course short. I mean L.Westwood hitting 350 yard drives is unheard of on a more flat course, but those greens are unreal how fast and angulated they are. I would 3 put half of them .................

It's all about pin placement If they wanted, they could make this course much harder with pin placement which they did for a day or two. Sunday's pins were where they were for TV. Everything was trickling down to the hole which is why you saw hole in ones. The course is hard enough. All they need to do is put the pins on some tough slopes. Most here would never shoot in the 90s on that course.

Phil said it himself, bad drives are not penalized at Augusta; it's a joke. I understand the greens are fast and can be tough, but if guys can routinely miss drives by 50 yards left or right and still have a clear cut shot at the green from rough that's barely thicker than the fairway the course is not doing what a golf course should be doing: rewarding guys who can hit the ball straight.

Whistling Straits in Wisconsin was designed to bring them to their knees, they had to make it easy and not go from the back tees when they played the PGA there.

The weather was perfect. That is all there is to that. Had there been any kind of wind blowing the scores would be dramatically different. The conditions were just good though, so everybody was playing well.

for the obviously clueless, its more about tradition and not about being the hardest golf course out there.... if they wanted to, they could bring the fairways in 30 yards and add 2 cuts of rough like the us open and you would make them fukking cry and the winning score would be around even... the rain they got on thursday night made a huge difference this week...nobody ever said it was the best or hardest course, its simply not about that
