I love animals but I refuse to have any pets. Too many painful experiences as a child. I was devastated when they would die. Just don't wnat to go thru that anymore.

I agree on this one.., but i think that the good experiences totaly worth the pain once they are gone... Look at it this way..., they will give you from 12 to 14 years of happy moments vrs 1 awful month... and then maybe 6 to 12 months, of remembering.., thinking all things you did with them....
Then.. the rest of your life with the love you felt for those pets...

Right now, i have a golden retriever, one poodle and a beagle (this one is a devil himself)
