Sopranos easily, wire got real stupid towards end. If you get a chance Watch Banshee it was a show on cinemax for 4 season. Great

Sopranos got better every season imo
I think they ran out of ideas towards end of wire, like guy said above last few seasons kind of weak
Both great watches

Sopranos peaked after season 3 and never got better but regressed. If not for the early stages of hbo popularity sopranos would be an afterthought
Looking back, boardwalk empire, game of thrones and most likely westworld all easily surpass sopranos. The same cannot be said for the wire

The writing favors the wire, the acting favors sopranos
Someone mentioned breaking bad and I have to agree that is perhaps the best show off all time. Not one of my favorites but it's impossible to ignore how great bb was
Mr. Robot better than wire and sopornos

I like "Better Call Saul" much more than the previous mentions. (Fires back up in August)
It's the prequel to "Breaking Bad' but "BB" never drew me in.
Ain't got no time for "Sopranos" nor "The Wire".
Individual taste.

Better call Saul is alright, I stopped following after the first or second season
It's slow and gradual buildup with minimal resolutions. Similar to some dry/dark comedies from early Coen bros

agreed, sopranos went downhill during season 4, season 5 was terrible. can't believe sbr dumbasses actually liked the later seasons of the sopranos more. that is an insult to the first few seasons.
sopranos was funnier, you really fell in love with the characters, great cast, great acting

The Wire is a great series because it showed why the war on drugs will never end. There's always someone making money off it, whether it's the drug dealers or the prison systems or crooked local government. It's a vicious cycle that will never end. One character dies, another steps right into his place. All in the game yo!
The Sopranos was a classic gangster series but with a family twist on it. Lots of great characters but they killed off too many of the good ones, Paulie Walnuts was basically the only great character that didn't get hit. Christopher, Big Pussy, Ralphie, all were guys that should never have been written out. Both series ran out of storylines at the end. Both highly entertaining.
The first season of True Detective was great too. Shame they couldn't get Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey to do a second season.

Wire was good, but I never got the comparisons to Sopranos.
Sopranos had a few lulls along the way, especially season 5, but it was heads and shoulders of The Wire.
I feel Sopranos has more rewatchability as well.

First season of True Detective is probably my favorite season of any one show I've ever seen. Loved the dark aura of it, really gripping stuff. Tremendous acting by those two. Never got to season two though, don't see a need for it after season one.

Child please? You don’t think the American government let drugs into the states? Lolololol - it creates jobs - who’s the number 1 customer for drugs? It’s Americans !!!! Billion dollar industry tax free ? America can send 100,000 Troops to Iraq but not Mexico ?

The scene when they raided that crack house or whatever it was and the shootout with one camera shot was one of the best. But GoT is the best show!
