It's early on day 2 but what we have shaping up for the weekend is something amazing. Tiger back after the self imposed layoff due to his personal life issues but appears to be in Tiger'esque form after shooting his best opening round at Augusta ever. Tom Watson the 60 year old legend of the game opened day 1 with an amazing 5 under par and Freddy Couples at age 50 opened the day as the sole leader at 6 under and has since moved it to 7 under after 4 today.
What here would make the more amazing story if they were to go on to win this weekend?
Personally I think Tiger is out. I mean regardless of off the course issues he is the best player in the game and is expected to be able to perform.
The obvious choices if we could pick the headline for Monday morning would be either Watson or Couples winning. Longshots by far but still something nice to speculate on. Couples has always been one of my favorites and while I've never really liked Watson much I would still tip my hat to anyone of his age still being able to compete (even at golf for the haters) with guys a third of his age.
What do you guys wanna see at the end of the Masters?
